Built to Be Handed Down.

I create custom western leather goods inspired by my great grandfather’s craftsmanship — built with the intention that they’ll last long enough to become part of your story.

Where This Began...

EJ Leatherworks is rooted in a standard set by my great-grandfather.

The bag shown here was crafted by my great-grandfather under Holt Saddle Co. Decades later, it remains intact — not because it was decorative, but because it was built correctly.

That principle stayed with me.

Durability. Structure. Intention.

Every piece I create today is guided by that same standard.

Built decades ago. Still intact.

How a Custom Piece Begins...

Every custom piece begins with a conversation.

Tell me what you need — whether it’s a belt, bag, wallet, or a larger heirloom piece — and how you plan to use it.

We’ll talk through the details and direction. If a piece needs to function a certain way, I’ll think through how it should be built to handle real use.

I approach each project with both craftsmanship and problem-solving in mind — so it doesn’t just look right, it works the way it should.

Lead times vary by project and season.

Built with the intention that it will be carried for decades — and handed down when its time comes.
